Located 2 miles south of Hill City, SD on Hwy 385.
Just met the most rude woman in the black hills - as the other 1 star posts read, she has no self awareness and in less than thirty seconds I was blown away by her little rage. Golden rule clearly doesn’t apply in her business model or as a decent human being.
I feel obligated to share our negative experience with this business. We had booked a 1 night stay the day before and on our drive to the area we were having mechanical problems with our motorhome. It was unlikely that we would make it to the campground before the 9pm check in cut off. We called ahead and asked the owner if we could cancel or come in later. She would not refund us because of her posted policy and was very unhelpful not providing any other solutions. She was downright rude when I told her we were having issues with our rig stating that she had to make a living and that I didn’t know what she was dealing with that day. We hadn’t book the site more than 24 hours in advance so we thought her lack of accommodation and understanding was bad business. Especially because she collected all the revenue and had no cost of us staying there because we never made it on time. At least a partial refund would be fair.
I would NOT recommend booking here if you have another option.
In response to business owner's reply: You took advantage of my bad day (being that you profited with absolutely no cost to you) - this makes you a bad business owner. Also you never offered us the option of a late arrival site.
