Always a good time whether you're camping (haven't done there) or just visiting the beach. Clean and well maintained

Had a great time tent camping here despite the walk up to get there. It was so nice in the tenting area, away from the noise for the most part. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice tenting area. No electric or water there, but it is a great place to camp and close to the beach to see sunsets and stars.

This beautiful park is well maintained and has the most breathtaking views of Lake Michigan. The park is tent or cabin. Lake access, beautiful tree lined trails. Quiet but close to town.

Just don't spend money here. Its changed so much, and not worth the new amount they increased to last year. I had been going there a long time but last year is my last year. There is no 50 amp service! Don't be fooled. You can end up sharing a 30 amp and a 110 outlet on the same pole lol There is a really leaky dump for RVs but no sewer hook ups. No cell reception,no internet ,Ever. I put up with the fires on electric poles/power issue from black out/ MY camper, twice. COST ME $3,000 TO FIX. Park wouldn't offer to pay for it at all even though its their ancient electric. Bad made up rules last year, cameras to spy on campers ,managment never cleaned up the beach. I never saw them down there all summer. There is 0 to do at this dusty campground except the beach. The sites are tiny ,so don't let those pretty pictures fool you lol Seasonal people cleaned up the campsites and maintained their own sites, took care of that park . There are no monthly or seasonal sites now ,so there goes all the well kept sites that made the old park look better. The seasonals also always had music and bonfires, food pot lucks etc where all were invited so if you go for that it will no longer exist . A lot of campers rent sites next to seasonals to make sure they have decent neighbors, BUT BEWARE. Seasonals are no longer there and most don't plan to return . Its a sad turn for this park. Just make sure when you book a site you know all the changes. OH,and the size of your site lol Make sure you dont have to share electric poles either. So many campers CAN'T run their campers on power at their poles. If it rains ,lol OMG . Its a flood in big circle right next to sewer. It also floods in Small circle . Seasonal used to put landscape to prevent floods but thats now gone. IT will be a mud pit because there is no grass or gravel . I cant imaging what those sites and roads will become in spring without seasonals to put up water barriors. This is just the truth. THERES LOTS MORE i just wont bother writing. I just wanted to write a honest review from a camper who knows and has lots of experience at this campground. I stayed and put up with so many problems over the years BECAUSE I loved the park and had friends there . I was hoping for the best last year and big improvements as promised ,but ended up feeling cheated by paying them almost 5,000 dollars for a crappy summer. It was and remains frustrating . Be aware!

We needed a nice and safe place for one night on a nice weekend, passing through. The lady on the phone was very nice and accommodating. We loved the layout of the park and facilities. Easy to navigate, quiet, and very clean in the bathrooms and around the park! Staff was super friendly and accommodating. And another guest invited us to a little guitar concert at another campsite. The beach is just a few steps away and has wonderful views! We will be back!
