A fabulous campground with such pretty views surrounded by round rocks and beautiful mountains. Car camping, camper, and walk-in sites (across a bridge, a little ways from parking lot) available along the Tarryall Creek, which is great for fishing though swimming (I believe) is not allowed we saw people taking their inner tubes down it. Basic toilets, though kept clean by a nice camp host. No bear boxes, so you have to keep food in your car. Lots of curious chipmunks will also get into your food if not properly put away. Nice little hiking trail also available to guests. Camp host has firewood for sale for $8. Lake George and Florissant aren't far for any forgotten basics, though they are tiny towns.

Such a cute camping spot! This was our first time camping here and I would definitely come back over and over again. Right next to the river and you can hike and rock climb literally anywhere. The chipmunks and prairie dogs were so cute and curious too. The camp hosts were kind and helpful making sure we were taken care of and that the whole site was clean. It gets very cold over night so make sure you pack accordingly. The river is great to swim and walk in and the views are fantastic.

We reserved a family campsite right on the river. Unfortunately the place was full of inconsiderate campers. There was no peace, quiet, or solitude at Spruce Grove. Instead, from morning until night it was people blowing up inner tubes, rafts, and other float devices and then jumping off the bridge onto these devices. People constantly running through our campsite with rafts and tubes. Non-stop yelling and screaming during the day and night. Multiple families occupying campsites designed for one family. Barking dogs at all hours. Decency and consideration for fellow campers does not exist at Spruce Grove. If you are looking for a fraternity-like party atmosphere, then this campground is for you. If you think campgrounds should be like going to an amusement park, then Spruce Grove is your place. When traveling on airplanes, if you think it is appropriate to harass flight attendants and fellow passengers, then you will fit in at Spruce Grove. Common decency and decorum do not exist here.
