Kelly Flats is a first-come, first-served campground located adjacent to Colorado Highway 14 and the Cache La Poudre River. There are 29 sites available including four walk-in tent sites. This is primarily an open conifer forest setting but there is a variety of vegetation found along the riparian zone of the river. Each site contains a tent pad, fire grate and picnic table. The primary activities in this area include stream fishing and enjoying the ambience of the river as it flows through the campground.
Drive 10 miles north of Fort Collins on U.S. Highway 287. Turn left (west) onto Highway 14 and drive approximately 25 miles.
This is, by far, our favorite campground in Poudre Canyon. It is first come, first served and fills fast on the weekends. The camp hosts are meticulous. The bathrooms are very well cared for and usually smell good. The sites are also well cared for. Every site has something to offer. We love being by the river! Falling asleep to the sound of rushing water makes camping here a wonderful experience.
Beautiful place, the bathroom was especially clean. It was quiet and refreshing.
Absolutely gorgeous place to camp. The on site manager is so sweet also. Great prices for Colorado too!
It was cool in the canyon, and the river is high!
Love this place. Took my 7 year old daughter here for her birthday. Camp host is always on it keeping things clean. Tent sites are nice, close to the water, bear lockers on sites, space to setup a canopy, fire pits with cooking racks on each site….
My only complaint is campers from the other side of the ridge making noises all night being blatantly loud. 1am till 8am. Absolutely ridiculous. My 7 year old was awake at 4 am and I couldn’t sleep all night from 1am on.
