In our years of traveling and on and off full-time living out of our rig, Riverview RV Park has quickly become our favorite stay in Colorado, if not of all time!!

Breathtaking views surround this surprisingly accessible hidden gem of a location, as it’s nestled at a cozy elevation of about 5,100 feet in the strikingly scenic foothills of the Rocky Mountains due west, and just outside of Loveland, Colorado. Along the diagonal length of its northern perimeter ambles the sublime and relaxing alpine snowmelt fed Big Thompson River.

We’ve been here about a week- and it’s been, simply put, fantastic! The entire park is very obviously passionately curated, with on-site walking trails, a well-kempt playground for those with kiddos, a grassy dog park, and a centrally located pavilion.

There’s an abundance of native accents (foliage) dotting the campground, providing a robust natural setting and experience uncommon among many other parks and campgrounds this close to civilization east of the Rockies in Colorado. It’s literally a handful of minutes up the road from an assortment of gas stations, grocery, and shopping centers, dining options, and easily a dozen unique and beautiful local hiking trails (half of them being a ten-minute drive or less). Not to mention a quaint, rustic on-site shop in the main office that’s well stocked with every and any supply you might imagine for both RV and tent camping- and plenty you might not have!

Their RV sites offer (impressively constructed and maintained, and four season capable) full-hookups, and they have two immaculately kempt shower and restroom facilities, along with on-site laundry, propane, and an independent dump site. They also offer both conventional trash services, and recycling options. Their on-site laundry facilities, it bears mentioning, are among the best we’ve ever used. The machines are perfect for a single load, and powerful. Made getting our laundry done quickly and completely swift and convenient.

Oh, and throughout most of the park our mobile data service (they also have complimentary WiFi service) and reception has been impressive considering the location. It seems to function better in some portions of the park than others, particularly along the riverside. From working remotely to common utility- the place seems to suffer remarkably little for its gorgeous and unique location!

The staff is professional and earnestly friendly and cares a great deal about the comfort and quality of their guests’ experience. The whole place buzzes with the feel of relaxed community- whether you like to keep to yourself or poke around a bit and explore, and there are all kinds of interesting and unique wood carvings, tiny bridges, and other fitting environmental accents throughout the park. To our amazement, we’ve even noticed ongoing improvements underway- which shocked us, that this could be improved upon- as we’ve gone for some casual strolls around the place. The attention that goes into this place is as obvious as it can be subtle.

It’s difficult not to fall in love with this place after just a brief time being here. We found it by accident after some other plans of ours fell through, and we’ve been delighted, impressed, and quite happy they did ever since our arrival!

I just spent 4 nights at this campgrounds with my 90 year old brother and we both loved it. We had a very roomy pull through site near a bath house, dog run and play area. It was very quite, which came as a welcomed surprise, the campers around us were all very respectful and helpful if we needed any. The office staff at check in and check out were super helpful and extremely polite. I have been camping since the mid 70’s and have seen few restrooms as clean and well maintained as these. The girls that cleaned the restrooms were there more than I was and always polite and courteous to our needs. GREAT WORK GIRLS! The site maintenance was excellent, as a matter-of-fact, as we were leaving a grounds person was on his way to cut the grass at the site. My brother was so impressed he wants to come back in the fall when the colors change. One last thing, this is a great campground and not a party ground. If you want to relax and not be bothered with unnecessary noise this place is GREAT! Thank you staff and keep up the superb work.

We recently stayed at Riverview RV Park for the most part everything went good. We were there just after my mother had passed and we had a issue with one of the staff. The owner contacted me and apologized which was greatly appreciated. I just got out of the hospital and plan on visiting again. Beautiful place our family has been camping there for many years and will continue the tradition for generations. The staff are usually very helpful and considerate.

Loved this RV park! The stay was comfortable and quite. Friendly staff and guests all the way around. They have a dog park and plenty of areas to walk your pet and doggy stations to clean up after them.

If you have kids they have a nice park that the pets are not allowed in, making it sanitary for the little ones. There is also a River that runs through and by some of the sites, that was great as well.

Bathrooms were pristine, we travel A LOT and these are some of the best! Cute store and they have wifi. All in all, this place is great. Thank you for the comfortable stay.
