Arrived 25 minutes early, our site was vacant and ready. 25 dollar fee to stay if you do not leave the property you will be charged with trespassing REALLY.
No fires, no tents, no pop ups.
Sites are small and they pack you in.
Wildlife in park are awesome.
We saw an elk which was the best part about it. The RV sites were way too close, without trees or much between, and NO FIRE PIT! That’s something many campers don’t even look to confirm because it’s typically available someway / somehow. We chose to abandon that reservation and stay somewhere else because of it. Good location to Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Forest entrance.
Very cramped. They have very small spaces and will stack people in on top of you, even when they have other available spots. A guy drives around every 5 minutes in a golf cart staring you down.
Internet does not work, you have to pay for it though. You can’t have a campfire, which kinda sucks at night when your kids want to roast marshmallows.
We got put right by the front gate so definitely request a different spot if you can.
Probably the worst RV campsite I’ve been to. We love Estes park and come almost yearly and this was the first year we brought our camper, very disappointed.
I read some bad reviews about this park, and we were expecting less. Well, we were pleasantly surprised! The staff was very friendly and so helpful! The river was beautiful and well maintained. The RV were not parked as close as we were expecting. The restrooms were dated, but very clean. The restroom light is on a timer system, and it timed out quickly on my husban. He used his phone light. The park was clean and it had grass!
Please, remember that there is 100% no refund once you stay a night at the park. My MIL became very ill and passed away, so we had to leave after only one night stay. Our stay was for 5 nights. We were aware of the no refund, so that was the choice we made.
We will stay at Spruce Lake RV Park again!
This is a great RV Park for visiting both Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. We stayed there for several days while we visited Estes Park and some friends in the Denver and Boulder areas. We could not have been happier with our stay or the staff and the RV Park.
In addition, it bears noting that we had a small travel trailer so we made a lot of use of the bathrooms and showers. Everything was 100% functional and very clean. I highly recommend.
