This was our third family trip to this camping resort in Estes Park. I love that it's only 5 mins from town, lots of trees and nature, including giant Elk that visit the campground, too! We had a slight issue with changing sites with one set of grandparents and Theo solved it where no one had to move spots. We were thankful he was such a great people-person because he was easy to work with and made a good situation out of a possibly tricky one. We love this place and will be back every year we can swing it in the late summer/fall. Only other feedback is that site 60 was almost impossible for me to back into with my suburban and pop up, and the different levels/areas of the site weren't ideal for us (fire and picnic table in diff places/levels). We love it there, just learning the pros and cons of each site location. Golf carts are awesome, loved the lifted one.
This is a great place for families with children. There is a video arcade, a bouncy jump, play ground equipment and a pool. It is in the open country with a great view, but it is quite near Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. It is on the side of a mountain, but the sites are level. The cabins for rent are nice. We stayed in our camper and our kids and grandkids stayed in a cabin this time. They have had their camper there in the past. Five elk browsed their way past our camper while we were there. We would stay there again.
JellyStone Campground of Estes Park is beautiful. Our site (8) was roomy and close to the restrooms, which were kept clean. The golf carts are a lifesaver to get around without having to walk up hills. My girls (8 and 4) loved the jump pad, pool, mini golf, and arcade. It’s a short 19 minute drive into Estes Park and about 20 minutes to Rocky Mountain National Park (where we enjoyed breathtaking views in our hike).
The best part of this campground is the staff. Everyone was friendly. My daughter got a few splinters on her finger, and I only had a pair if clunky tweezers that were useless. We went to the ranger station where the very kind lady acquired a needle from her sewing kit and gently extracted the splinters. She awarded my daughter for her bravery with a free ring pop and Cindy Bear plushy. They gave my older daughter the same, though she didn’t ask for it.
Definitely planning to return again next year!
This is such a fun place! Whether you’re parents or grandparents the kids have so many things to do and it’s fun for everyone! It’s quite and peaceful at times too. The only complaint I had was we took our 5th wheel in for repairs and was gone for two day. I notified the office and asked that our grass be cut and to trim back the sticker bushes that surrounded the water pump as my face had gotten scratched up trying to use the water hookup. When we got back neither had been done, so that was disappointing.
We stayed here for two days at the end of a cross country adventure before heading home. It was close to Rocky Mountain National Park and the town. They had a cute and easy mini golf park for the kids. We were able to hike up the mountain easily. The staff was helpful with backing up the camper. It was a restful night before a long trip home!
