One of the best places we stayed -- stunning beauty. We didn't have the best spot, but, that's nit-picking. This place is DROP-DEAD GORGEOUS. The giant red rock plateau... the beautiful reservoir, the baby swans... OMG. This is not a "pack 'em in" RV park. This is a hidden gem, worth the extra driving.
Beautiful small lake nestled in between tall hills. We winter camped here and had a blast. I like that the campsites have a special gravel, so there were no mud issues that we usually have during nice days in the winter. One thing that could be improved: the sites could be more level. I was up at the top of my wheel leveler. We will definitely be back and try it during the summer.
I love this place to camp, fish or just enjoy a day out with family. It's clean and has everything you need to be comfortable as your enjoying a day out alone or with company. Either way give it a try. Rangers do check regularly so make sure to have fishing license and park pass but other then that HAVE FUN!!!
Overall a well kept campground, the rangers are very friendly and welcoming! Beautiful small lake, great for catching small lake trout. Several picnic shelters, a clean bathroom, an unbelievable sunset over the lake one night. This year there was a lot of broken glass on the bank making it really hard to feel safe letting kids/dogs play. Nice campground but you are not in a secluded area. The construction this year also went all night which made sleeping a challenge for a lot of adults, kids played hard enough they didn't mind. Book early if you want to camp here. Day use is available.
