About Campground

Campgrounds still open between September and May have no services (water, electric, trash pick up or rest rooms). Please keep them clean and pack it out. Thanks! Ferris Canyon Campground is three miles upstream from Cabin Canyon along Forest Rd. 504. This barrier-free facility has 7 sites for camping and picnicking but no water. It is 3.5 miles downstream of the dam and popular with fly fishermen (catch-and-release only). The historic Lone Dome Ranger Station is nearby.

Directions

Directions from Dolores, Colorado: Travel 37 miles northwest to campground on following roads: Highway 184, U.S. Highway 491 and County Roads 505 and 504. Ferris Canyon Campground area map.
