Amazing experience! Lovely hospitality. community space and location is super special. clean room and super comfortable bed- one of its kind experience.
My husband and I stayed here July/Aug. camping in our our travel trailer for 2 weeks. Full hook ups! We were lucky in that we had a lot of privacy during our stay without a lot of close campers. This place met all of our expectations and then some. The grounds are beautiful with access to canyon hikes just steps from the property. That trail was probably my most favorite parts about the property. I hiked about 4 miles there one morning and besides being paranoid about mountain lions it was awesome. The breakfasts were delicious (my fave was the baked eggs on our last morning). Do not expect cell service but they do have internet access but it is a little slow. I was thrilled with being "off the grid" so not having technology did not bother me. We found Marc and his wife (the owners and hosts) to be very friendly and accommodating. I appreciate their patience as I picked their brains about the property. This place is magical with all of its history and beauty. I would highly recommend you check this place out.
This review is long overdue but much warranted.
We visited Kelly Place in the midst of transition of ownership in 2021. Even though there were plenty of obstacles the new owners had to work out, we were coming from out of town and were welcomed with open arms and gracious hospitality.
After a turbulent beginning to our road trip, our arrival at Kelly Place was exactly what we needed. We were calmed not only by the incredible surroundings and beauty of the location, but also by the presence of the owners, who were happy and light and welcoming, and brought a true sense of magic to our stay.
We travel often and have had many experiences, but I have to say that none have left the same impression on my soul as our stay here. I cannot wait to return and see the beauty of what has become of this exceptional spot, operated by truly exceptional humans. 🙌
We actually had pretty high expectations for Kelly Place but they were still surpassed. It is a bit hard to describe but let’s say it’s a very special place that’s meticulously cared for by the hosts. If you are looking for a place to unwind, you will find no better. Very hospitable Hosts too.
The hosts were most welcoming and helpful. I stayed one week in the Ute Mountain Suite. It is well supplied and comfortable with decor to complement the region. The view of Sleeping Ute Mountain is superb.
The location is ideal and the property is uniquely situated for exploring outstanding national parks and monuments. The property itself offers superb opportunities for archaeological experiences rivaling or exceeding those in the parks, without the crowds.
I felt at home.
