Stayed here once last year and was going to stay here again this year over Thanksgiving week but had to cancel the reservation 3 weeks before we were due to arrive. Had to pay the entire amount up front through Roverpass and was due refund within 2-3 days after cancellation. Here it is almost New Years and I am still trying to get a refund. They pretend they are going to refund the money but nothing happens, then when I try and call they don't answer the phone now. Not a good place to do business with. Update 2/21/23, have called at least a dozen times and emailed half as many, Rover determined it is the management at CV that is at fault, they owned up to it and agreed and I still haven't seen a check as of this post.
I have to say I am very disappointed with management at this park. Today we witnessed discrimination against a potential tenant. I am currently trying to sell a mobile home located in this park. The buyer would like to stay in the park. Management has made it clear that as a new tenant in that park she would have to clear a background check which we have no problem with. Management then went on saying even visitors needed background checks as well. I’ve tried getting in contact with the owner because this does not seem right. Since the buyer did not provide information for visitors she is now being prohibited from being a tenant at the park. I would like to know if each and every visitor has received a background check because if not then this is indeed discrimination and unnecessary.
It’s a decent place to live, quiet, there’s a gym, pool, shuffle board, pool tables and a small library .. the rules are a little over the top but a decent place.. kids and visiting friends are not allowed in the pool which is weird..
This place is sketchy for sure! I applied and was approved for a home and was told all I had to pay was the move in special that was $1000 to get the keys and the first month free then another person called back and said I needed to pay $2500 in total because my income was not enough. How was I approved for the home then?? If I did not make enough money then I should not have been approved. Then when I questioned the lady about it all she didn’t have an answer and said thank you and hung up on me. Charged me 2 application fees knowing that I would not get the home. She said “ i will work with you just talk to me” after I paid the second application fee for my husband they never called back.

Today I was contacted by Bree from the location in Donna who I will say tried to work with me and explained to me why I was not approved for the home in McAllen but as I explained to her my review was not about the company but about management and how they handled my application and processing it. Thank you for reaching out to those above you and trying to get me in for a smaller payment I appreciate that. What I don’t appreciate is the way you kindly threatened to respond to my review with my credit score, debt and rental history report if I didn’t take it down.
