Location: Southwest corner of the island, approximately 100 yards north of the sandspit
Amenities: fire ring, food locker, mouldering privy.
Access: Sandy beach for landing kayaks and small vessels. A short boardwalk leads to the campsite.
Would not recommend this place. Most of the east side is all rock making it difficult to access. There is also no boat docks or helipad for access. No trails or roads for easy travel on the island. however there is a secret bunker on the southern end that is very spacious and luxurious. Couldn't figure out the access code so we torched the door.
Was expecting more cats but after “toy reviewer” graciously released his 12 now a year ago there are only 175 now (counted myself). Not enough cats yet !!!! Luckily all crimes are legal so ……
I came to this island expecting cats. There were none. I brought my own 12 cats and let them roam freely. By the year 2030 there is expected to be 1,000,000 feral cats on the island. I am allergic to cats.
Well its been a couple of months now and I finally had the time to visit cat island. It seems the nuclear waste has effected this area and now there may or may not be some weird Cat-fish hybrid looking things. You should see their fur its so vibrant! I wonder how that works. Someone keep us updated the next time someone goes. I miss carl. He was my favorite cat. Say hello for me!
