From intersection of State Highway 13 and County Highway C in Washburn, head 3 miles north on County C to Big Rock Road. The park is 1.5 miles down the road.
The GPS location for this campsite is wrong. There are ten campsites on one side of the road, and a few more on the other. The price is $15/night, and you need cash. Coming from the north, you will be driving on dirt roads, but if you come from the south, it's all paved.
Quiet, near a stream, and the campsites are decently spaced. Each site has a picnic table and a fire pit with a grate. There are bathrooms and a water pump.
I would stay here again - it wasn't on the main drag, but that's why it's quiet and spaces are farther apart. It's 15 minutes to Bayfield, which is pretty convenient.
Pleasant little Campground...it's a small Campground with small sites.
Well kept...I think we may try it out in the near future. Rustic / Primitive
It's pretty nice and small no campers over 20 feet. Not much of a place for kids to play. Lots of peace and quiet.
Quiet, rustic campground right on a river with trout!!! Sights are roomy and most are fairly level...pit toilets and pumped water available. I love this type of campground for shorter stays!!
The most beautiful river runs through here, the woods smell incredible. Only small issue is that in the upper part of the camp area there is a light that goes on and off all night long… Often there’s also people here running generators, at least the only two times I’ve been here. But they do seem to stop running them by 10 PM. Nice quiet campground otherwise. Gorgeous land and water.
