I'm not sure if this is normal but there were a lot of really cool full-time travelers here last time I was there. The drive in through the countryside was beautiful; I highly recommend using the "avoid highways" option on Google Maps when navigating in. It brought me through a the most beautiful farmland in the rolling hills of Southern Indiana.

There was lots of poison ivy on the trail so be careful of that. The trail is a bit rougher than most but I didn't mind at all. If you follow it west of the camp, it leads to a lovely rocky gulley.

The campsites are nice, there's plenty of deadwood on the ground to scavenge, and the firepits are pretty nice.

The rangers patrol regularly. Just read the bulletin board and follow all the rules and you won't have any trouble.

This is a great little area to stop for a quick hike and view the waterfalls. If you are looking for more hikes in the areas check out the Hoosier's Hidden Hikes guidebook on Amazon.

A great, free campsite. About 5-6 sites, each with a fire ring and picnic table. No amenities, which is completely fine, except a vaulted toilet. Could easily fit my truck and cargo trailer. The end of the road is a loop, so you don't have to worry about getting stuck.

Nice place for a stopover, even has a little trail in the back if you have more time. I wouldn't spend multiple days here but I would go back.
