Complete Peace and serenity to get your mind right and to check out the trails to walk/jog and or ride on.

A nice primitive campground. It has pit toilets and a big sink outside to wash your hands, fire ring and picnic table. Some sites are shaded and big enough for a small trailer. We were there during the week and it was very quiet. Only four other sites occupied. Ice (2.00) and generous amount of wood (5.00) available at the state forest office where you sign up for your site. Nice hiking trails (two trails 10 miles long), a 5 mile paved bike path, and a lake for trolling motor powdered boats.

Primitive camping. Be prepared to entertain yourself by hiking, biking, running. No playground, pit toilets. We like it because it's not over run with kids or rv campers.

Morgan Monroe is absolutely my favorite place to camp! They have lots of trails for hiking weather you're an experienced 10mile hiker or just a fun short walk in the woods there's something for everyone and every age. You get to pick your own, mostly secluded, camp site and then self register it! BUT make sure you bring cash because the office is rarely open and you'll fill out an envelop, disclose payment, and put into a dropbox to reserve your camp site. Restrooms and water close to campsites on camp ground. Very family and pet friendly

It's a great place to camp. Go find your campsite, set up, find the marker for which spot you're at, go to the office down the road from the fire tower and log in your info on the deposit slip (by the firewood storage). The office is said to be closed on the weekend, but I guess I was lucky it happened to be open on a Saturday, as I needed firewood and the cart was empty.

Staff is wonderful. DNR was nice. Very rough camping if you like that kind of thing with short and easy to rugged and long trails.
