This is a difficult one to review. The facilities and property were well maintained, so kudos for that, but the topography and layout of some campsites on Whitetail were tertible. The gravel pad on our site in Whitetail was not level or sufficient in size. It was long enough to accommodate our small RV (26') but we barely had enough room for our picnic table anywhere on our site. Also, the electric and water hookups were located too far away from the pad. I had to buy a 30a extension cable and did not have enough hose for the water. The layout of some sites is just unacceptable...they should not even reserve them. Having said that the grounds themselves, the scenery, the pavillions, the boat ramp, and the lake are beautiful. Staff in the camp store were very polite and helpful, too.
Drove through here recently.
Looks well maintained.
My gf and I pulled up to one of the rv camp sites to set up a place to fish.
We actually caught some fish this time of year and got some good scenic views as well.
If you haven't gone to boggs you should go.
Nice park. Presently having some water quality problems. Good place for family picnics, reunions and nice buildings for meetings and receptions.
They put on a decent firework display every year. The park itself is large with lots of hiking & biking trails. The lake has a small beach and a swimming area. There are 2 playgrounds here, one is fairly small but the other is a very nice playground. It has a small zip line, plenty of slides, etc. They have 2 tennis courts, 1 basketball court, and a 18 hole Disc Golf course. There are at least 2 large picnic areas with several tables, and also some benches and tables scattered throughout the park. There is one building in the park with public showers and restrooms.
