nice area, tent sites too close for comfort. The lake and beech are great. The facilities are nice and clean enough. The tent only camp sites are right on top of each other. I know more about my neighbors that I wanted too. Even when packed in, our tent ended up 5 feet form our neighbors fire pit. There are a few sites that would be great for larger parties if you reserved ajoining sites, but for a single family there isn't much privacy.

Have spent overnights at their lodge as well as cabins. It’s clean, beautiful and scenic. Restaurant on site, also. If you can, find a table along their outdoor seating area for your meal. Pretty view along with sounds of nature.

Had a wonderful time. The staff were very helpful and friendly, from the front desk to the wait staff in the restaurant to the maintenance staff that cleared off the leaves and acorns from the court so we could play. The room was clean and well maintained. Enjoyed our walks with views of the lake.

I really enjoyed hiking here! I backpacked from dock 3 to dock 2 then camped overnight and packed back! It was my first trip backpacking, and I had a great time! The facilities were clean and the trail was overall well taken care of. There were some downed trees on the trail with one section that was very difficult to cross near dock 2 as there were multiple trees in the same area at varying heights. My dog and I ended up going off trail a bit and around the trees as there was no way I could think of to get both of us and my pack over. For the other sections of trail that had down trees, the logs were fairly easy to step over. Lots of elevation changes and the trail was a bit narrow at times so definitely more of a hiking trail than just a walking or nature trail (which is what we were looking for!). The campsite was clean and there was running water available to share with other sites. Bathrooms available, no sinks or showers (also fine by us, just something for people to know!).

The architecture of the Lodge was nostalgic and homey, and our room was quaint in styling and renovation. The second floor café area serves good food, but the smell of decaying carpet was almost overbearing. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt, being the off season, that the repairs/cleaning required was scheduled for later months, but the smell was quite potent, especially near the windows.

Overall the scenery is simply stunning. The quiet, the fresh air, and the trails nearby made our stay feel as outdoorsy as we had hoped, especially with the lull in other patrons and families. It felt as if we had the whole resort nearly to ourselves.

Disappointed that the pool was still closed/ under renovation even though it was advertised as being open when we booked, but not the worst place we've stayed by far.
