This is the second time we've gone tent camping here and we love it! It's private enough to where you can be secluded from others if you wish, and also plenty of RV campers if you like to have company. The lake is just a short walk from the camp sites, and great for fishing. Common game fish can easily be caught from the shore along the woods. Both times we have not been bothered by mosquitoes or bugs, just the occasional visit from a raccoon during the night. Deb is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and can usually be found in the little general store where you can pick up necessities and firewood. Philabaun's is our first for camping!
Dingy, horrible Egg Water that we are still trying to get out of our RV. Weird people. Great for Kayaking!
It is the first place we have ever had a seasonal site. We only have 1 gripe...people need to please keep their dogs on a leash & from running all over un-attended & causing other dogs to become stressed and intrusion of privacy on the site. We love the place otherwise.
Nice campground with hidden beach. Didn't know about this place until a few days ago. Owner is super nice. Very relaxing place. Pretty cleaned and well maintained.
Renting the boat was nice, but nit being able to fish the lake by the cabin was sad. Went for my dads birthday. He looked forward to fishing by the water all night. It's also very crowded the trailers are super super close to each other. And you basically can rent a boat and then have a fire. And sleep. It's not a far drive to go fishing on the lake. But the boat ramps was the only place open enough but you can't fish it. Nor would I. Overall it was a good first try to taking my daughter to a cabin.
