Along the way, the Bridge Creek Trail provides access to the McAlester Lake, Dagger Lake, Rainbow Lake, and North Fork trails. At Bridge Creek Camp, which makes an excellent base for exploration, trails radiate east and west and link up to many more options.
Nice well-spaced campground with good sites, fire pits, and restrooms available. Easy walk up from the Stehekin shuttle.
There's 4 camps here - hiker, PCT, group, and stock. Pay attention to the information board when you arrive.
However, all come with good access to water, covered pit toilets, bear boxes, and good shelter.
There are a lot of warnings about a "comfortable bear" that approaches people for food here, but I was fortunate enough to not meet them.
Great stop near the PCT and not far from the High Bridge shuttle to Stehekin. Sites are spaced out well, smooth with hardly any rocks, has picnic tables, fire rings, bear boxes, and outhouses. A small creek divides some of the sites and the group site is across the path away from single sites. Lots of shade.
There are 6 well shaded hiker camps with picnic tables in this campground located right on the trail. They are spread out comfortably with shared outhouse toilets and bear boxes for food storage. Tent sites vary in size and level ground. Water source is close to all sites and easily accessible.
