This is one of the nicest campgrounds in the area! Caters to long stays or weekend trips. My children had a blast fishing in the pond, and it was safe enough to allow bike rides. The owner, manager and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The park is in a country setting within the town limits. Hookups are available for sewer and electric. Internet is extra. If your family is needing a place to camp for the weekend, if you're tired of motel rooms while working on the road, or looking for a long term stay this is a great location!
Warning: Class A not compatible. Uneven dirt pads. No cement and no rocks for the pads. At 40 a night definitely not worth it. Recent rain storm also made ground soft. River view blocked by privately owned trailers and houses. Almost a slum property in the inner city. Owners spend some money on the pads like cement or at least rocks. Sewer connection is below ground level is that legal. Almost alike a hole in the ground. Water connection below ground level remove cover and hookup. Back in over a small sidewalk from narrow street. Spend money on the park and you will receive a better rating. Park needs attention and owners involved
It was our first time here. The owner/manager was very nice and accommodating over the phone.
This was an old mobile home park with the sewer and water hookups at the rear of the sites. It was really hard to find the sewer and water on our site as they were covered by lots of leaves. The water hookups are below ground and I fell into the hole as there was no hard cover over it, just leaves. The sewer pipe was in such bad shape, we didn't dare try to use it. The electric hookup was next to the cement patio, low to the ground.
The neighbors around us that we saw were very nice. There were a lot of full-time rvers here. There was a party going on just a few sites down from us and they were noisy, but when 10pm came, they were quiet. Not sure if it was because of the time or if police were called.
The park is packed with trees. Leaves covered everything. Limbs were all over the ground.
The site we got forced us to back across a median in the divided street, but it was not a big deal. The lot was wide and roomy. We could go back quite a ways to reach the sewer and water. The area was very quiet all night long.
If you do get here to camp, you may have to dig up leaves to find the hookups. The park is full hookup. The are muddy sites along the river, but tell the owner not to put you on a soft site and he will accommodate you. We asked questions first and got answers, before we drove on down the road looking for something "Better." They were far and few between along this highway. We would return here to camp when in this area again.
Spent 5 months here. Best campground in the area all it needs is a clean laundry room, cable and internet!
If you don’t mind dead trees damaging your property every time it rains, brown water, abandoned campers attracting roaches, unleashed dogs running around, drug baggies all over the place, the police in and out every day, nothing to do, and a manager who says there isn’t anything he can do but collect $600/month for rent then this is the place for you!
