Honestly one of the best campgrounds I have been to. The family who owns it are absolutely wonderful people. We were there for a week. The bathrooms were kept clean. Any issues that did come up were addressed immediately. We did the 3 hour kayak ride which was beautiful, but make sure to bring a ton of bug spray. Very kid friendly and lots to do. Very strict 5mph rule which was great with all the kids running around. Large playground with horse shoes for the parents to play while the kids were playing on the play structure. My son's favorite part was their absolutely perfect camp kitty, mister, who would come visit occasionally and give cuddles. If I could I would give more than 5 stars. Definitely recommend!

The owners were super quick to respond to messages and the cabin we stayed in was beautiful, well maintained, adorably decorated and a perfect place for a calm evening after sight seeing. We will definitely make a trip back to spend more time exploring this area.

We had a fantastic stay at one of the cabins native nook! We highly recommend! We were short driving distance from many places we wanted to see. It was a very small laid back camp ground with some of the cleanest bathrooms I’ve seen for a campground. The convenience of renting a cabin was well worth the price over rent camping, having a fridge, microwave, grill available plus a solid bed vs ground or air mattress was also quite nice. We rented the cabin due to having back problems and not wanting to hurt my back anymore sleeping on the ground or on an air mattress. 10/10 recommend staying, already talking about coming back next year multiple times!

This place was my 2 year Olds introduction to tent camping and it was just the right place for us. They have an awesome playground, 2 sandpits with toys, ladder ball, and a lovely path along the beautiful Manistique River.

The bathrooms are updated and clean, there's a laundry room, and a camp store with everything you mightve forgotten to bring.

John and Melissa are gracious hosts and responded quickly when we had questions.

We're so happy we found this place and will definitely be back.

Booked a spur of the moment cabin on our way through the UP. Melissa was quick to resond setting the Native Nook up for us. We arrived after hours but the key and check in instructions were available for us. The cabin was clean and cute. The trip to the bathroom was only a short walk and very clean including the showers. Highly recommend. Pet friendly cabin.
