Honestly if I could give it no stars that would be what it deserves! It’s sad to see such a beautiful campground ran like garbage! I’ve been to many campgrounds throughout Michigan and never seen such chaos, never had to walk through other peoples campsites to get to my own! Let’s start with the $200 paid for an electrical site only to not get an electrical site! Now I don’t mind rustic camping when that’s what I choose and what I paid for! However we had 3 children in our group and weren’t exactly prepared but still made it work! I would not deem this a “family” campground for many reasons! The main reason being that me and a friend got to see the owner and his girlfriend in the glass office doing what adults should do behind closed doors! Got to see alot of her I shouldn’t have! I have honestly never seen a space ran so unprofessionally! In fact I think the owners teenager is the one holding the place together! From what I gather the owner is more worried about a good time and excuses!!! The bathrooms also don’t seem to get toilet paper replacements so bring your own! Absolutely disgusting all around! And very sad because from what I heard around town it used to be an incredible campground!

Awesome experience right on the water. Not over-crowded, beach access and overall very laid back with a spot of your own. The hot showers were nice, firewood was affordable, and a 8minute drive to downtown Mackinac. 5 stars definitely

A nice quick stay by the beautiful lake Huron. Although, most of the people seem to be concerned about the conditions of the campground, my family and I had a satisfying experience. Watching the stars during the night time and falling asleep listening to the waves was just amazing. The owner was understanding and helpful. Restroom and showers were not too clean but since I only stayed there for a night, it didn’t bother me too much. Overall worth a stay if you’re only staying for a short period of time.

We pulled up, and immediately were greeted. I was taken by golf cart around the entire camp site to specifically choose which spot I wanted. Saturday night was semi-crowded, and Sunday night we had the whole beach line to ourselves. Our view was amazing (see photos). The firewood is cheap, and the gentlemen who helped us were all very accommodating and friendly. Yes the bathrooms are run-down, but the toilets and sinks were clean. If it was peak season, our experience might have been totally different, but thankfully it was late enough in the season where everything worked out perfect. It is also cheap to stay here per night.

The price, views, and customer service were all A+, I would 100% return.

Great location close to Mackinaw City but far enough away from the crowds. Absolutely stunning views of the lake. You can see the bridge from the campground. Some of the spots are basically right on the beach. We showed up late on a Saturday night and Walt welcomed us and let us pick out a site. We ended up staying in some tents he had already set up with queen sized air mattresses and clean bedding inside. It was super convenient since we were only staying for one night on our way up north. The campground is on the small side and was pretty full, but everyone was respectful and reasonably quiet. There was plenty of firewood available to purchase. The bathrooms were clean. 100% will come back again and would recommend.
