We stayed for two nights and had the greatest time! Gerald and Travis took such great care of us. We stayed in the Coyote’s Den. There is electricity! Our kids had a blast sleeping in the loft. The beds were comfy. No need to bring sleeping bags, there is bedding and good pillows and a space heater that kept us nice and warm even though it was cold and rainy during our stay. Each cabin has a fire pit and a nice picnic table out front. They even hooked us up with a grate for the fire out.
The bathrooms are nice and well maintained. There are two. Each has a shower. Very near the cabins.
It was raining, so we used the fire pit at the pavilion and stayed dry there while we cooked. There are 100 year old apple trees, and I’m not kidding 20+ peacocks wondering the grounds. It’s a beautiful oasis in the desert. Such a wonderful place!
This place is a little slice of heaven! Far away from everything and everybody, you wake up to deer and peacocks in the field. Private little cabins are perfect for sleeping. Hang out in the apple orchard or under the giant walnut trees. Close to the magical Warm Springs and amazing Crystal Ball Caves. We needed an extra day or 2 to enjoy the peace, quiet and reboot that this place offers. Bring your own bedding and food.
Loved camping here!
It was a far drive out to the middle of nowhere, but that just means it has the best view of stars at night!
The orchard provided plenty of shade. There was enough greenery and grass on the ground that you weren't covered in dirt by the end of each day, which I was grateful for.
Plenty of space for kids to run around, but it feels safe and you could be relaxing around your campsite and still have eyes on your kids from afar.
This ranch has peacocks roaming around! Pretty fun for the kids. Fun for us adults too, except maybe early morning when they wake you up. But this wasn't a big deal to me. It made the experience more special, really.
Two friendly dogs greeted us shortly after we arrived. They were pretty good listeners, so if you tell them to leave you alone, they will. I liked seeing them lying around near our tent in the middle of the night. Felt like they were protective of us.
Bugs weren't too bad. There are some mosquitos, but nothing crazy.
The family/staff at the ranch were great! Travis and Gerald were particularly helpful and generous. Travis patched a hole and filled our tire right after we arrived. The next day Gerald filled our tire a little bit more. Travis did a great job on the patch and we got home safely with no tire issues!
The bathrooms were cleaned daily. Water pressure and temperature was great!
We didn't stay in cabins, but our friends did and we got to check out the inside. They were really spacious and clean! I'd love to stay in one some day!
There wasn't cell service, but they had good wifi, as long as you were close enough to their house.
We didn't do the Crystal Cave tour, but our friends did and they enjoyed it. Husband and daughter hiked in the slot canyons. He said he recommends vehicles that have higher clearance and maybe AWD/4WD. There are also warms springs that he said was great during a hot day, but too cold for night.
This ranch/campsite was beautiful.
Loved our experience and we will for sure be back one day!
Wonderful stay. The two cabins we rented were clean comfortable cozy and heated. We understand AC is coming but for our trip we wouldn’t have used it. Bathrooms are clean and functional but bring your own towel and shower supplies. Owners are very helpful and friendly. Area attractions are great. Our family loved Crystal Ball Cave more than Lehman caves and that’s saying something because Lehman caves were great. Both need to be reserved well in advance. We will be back to explore when the mountains have less snow. This is a hidden gem in the rough.
Loved it! Nice and quiet, clean rooms and really friendly people! I felt really relaxed after my stay and was ready for a new day. The peacocks are beautiful along with the wildlife. Woke up to a few dear eating in the morning. Highly recommend.
