Came to escape the desert heat of southern Nevada. At almost 5,800 ft it helped quite a bit. It's still got up to almost 100°, because of a unusual late summer heat wave.
Two different reservoirs in the same area. The lower one is almost empty the upper one still has plenty of water but is receding. Seems to be a few of anglers on boats.
It has a paid campground and also a dispersed campground which you do not have to pay for. But there is a pit toilet there and a nice hiking trail and still very beautiful.
Went up for a Fathers and Sons Outing - the boys loved the rocks and the weather was fantastic. Good facilities and shelter from the wind. Fishing was sparse, but when you hardly put your line in the water, what can you expect!
Very cool area. The rocks are very interesting. Lots of places to camp.
Great place to camp and fish. Best time is in the spring or fall because summer is too hot.
Great 41st anniversary for Joe and I !! Was a perfect trip..beautiful!
