Loved camping here!
It was a far drive out to the middle of nowhere, but that just means it has the best view of stars at night!
The orchard provided plenty of shade. There was enough greenery and grass on the ground that you weren't covered in dirt by the end of each day, which I was grateful for.
Plenty of space for kids to run around, but it feels safe and you could be relaxing around your campsite and still have eyes on your kids from afar.
This ranch has peacocks roaming around! Pretty fun for the kids. Fun for us adults too, except maybe early morning when they wake you up. But this wasn't a big deal to me. It made the experience more special, really.
Two friendly dogs greeted us shortly after we arrived. They were pretty good listeners, so if you tell them to leave you alone, they will. I liked seeing them lying around near our tent in the middle of the night. Felt like they were protective of us.
Bugs weren't too bad. There are some mosquitos, but nothing crazy.
The family/staff at the ranch were great! Travis and Gerald were particularly helpful and generous. Travis patched a hole and filled our tire right after we arrived. The next day Gerald filled our tire a little bit more. Travis did a great job on the patch and we got home safely with no tire issues!
The bathrooms were cleaned daily. Water pressure and temperature was great!
We didn't stay in cabins, but our friends did and we got to check out the inside. They were really spacious and clean! I'd love to stay in one some day!
There wasn't cell service, but they had good wifi, as long as you were close enough to their house.
We didn't do the Crystal Cave tour, but our friends did and they enjoyed it. Husband and daughter hiked in the slot canyons. He said he recommends vehicles that have higher clearance and maybe AWD/4WD. There are also warms springs that he said was great during a hot day, but too cold for night.
This ranch/campsite was beautiful.
Loved our experience and we will for sure be back one day!
