About Campground

Pinegrove Campground sits in the lush Coconino National Forest of northern Arizona, offering visitors countless recreation opportunities set in a stunning landscape. Recreation Nearby Upper and Lower Lake Mary, Ashurst, Marshall and Kinnikinick Lakes serve as a recreational focus for this campground. All are stocked with fish including trout, bass and channel catfish. Upper Lake Mary is popular with power boaters, and Ashurst attracts a following of windsurfers along with anglers and boaters. Several excellent hiking and biking trails are located within a short drive. Visitors also enjoy wildlife viewing and picnicking. Facilities The campground is comprised of 46 spacious individual sites. The facility provides coin-operated showers, picnic tables, campfire rings, cooking grills, drinking water and accessible flush toilets. There are boat ramps at the lakes, as well as accessible fishing access at Lake Mary Narrows. Natural Features Coconino National Forest's 1.8 million acres offer clear lakes, red rock cliffs, desert basins and canopies of pine trees. The lakes around these forested campgrounds are used as a stopover for migrating waterfowl, a wintering site for rare bald eagles and a feeding ground for resident ospreys. The area is also home to a considerable number of elk and mule deer. Nearby Attractions The nearest town is Flagstaff, Arizona, about 20 miles away. Camping supplies, groceries, gas, restaurants, shopping and more are available. ADA Access: N

We were evacuated from a nearby campground to the Pine Grove Campground. Our stay at the Pine Grove Campground was amazing. Dennis does a fantastic job with maintaining a clean and functional shower facility, while Abby does a great job keeping an eye on him. The showers were clean hot and available during our stay.

The camp hosts (Chris & Cathy, Tim & Becky) were warm and welcoming. We couldn't ask for better hosts. This was one of the most tranquil campgrounds and we felt safe during our stay. The hosts consistently monitored the campground to ensure guests were accommodated. The campground was pleasantly quiet (with an occational buzzing sound of generators from time to time). We enjoyed the tall trees and beautiful landscape. This was the perfect environment to train our search and rescue doberman puppy.

Many thanks to the Pine Grove Camp hosts and staff for making our trip memorable, peaceful and productive!

Haven't camped in a very long time but really liked this location! Lots of tall pine trees, super clean bathrooms with running water and flushing toilets, potable water faucet and a shady 'interpretive loop' to walk the dog around. Sites are close together but campers are pretty respectful. On site hosts keep the place orderly and are very available and helpful.

This campsite is set very nice. They are very well maintained and the people are just so nice. They have running water in the bathroom. They have two stalls and multiple bathrooms. They have a spot to shower for a few dollars. They also have a dump station. The camp spots have one table, a fire pit, a grill and a stop for tents. Most of them have two parking spots. They sell ice and firewood if you need it. The lake isn’t near the campground. It’s very close you will pass it on your way to the campground. The weather is amazing and seems to rain often.(at least when I went). They is a family of brown hawks.(might not be the right bird) you will see them flying around.
