Four thumbs up from the backwoods camper husband and city slicker wife! This hidden gem had everything both of us needed and more! Beautiful scenery, convenient and plentiful amenities, quiet setting, and friendly camp hosts who understood our needs and made recommendations based on those needs. Plus an on-site playground for the kids! We will be back!!!
You would never know this green oasis was there based on the desert scenery at the entrance. Parked on a concrete pad under some willow trees. Nice pool and hot tub. They sell firewood by the wheelbarrow full. Creek runs through the property. Even have dish washing huts for the tent campers.
I checked all the reviews prior to going here. There were some negative remarks about the staff and their non-caring attitude. I went there anyway and boy oh boy was I pleasantly surprised. Management and staff couldn't have been more pleasant or accommodating. They were there to make sure every camper had what they needed. In our case, they went and fetched us a power cord and were willing to bend over backwards to accommodate our every need. What a fabulous crew to work with. They made our stay a wonderful experience. Thank you, management and staff for going out of your way to help campers have such a great time.
We stayed here in a RV space for 5 nights to see the surrounding area. Nice quiet location next to Oak Creek. Lots of room, a warm pool, and a nice small camp store with supplies. We had one small issue with a noisy group next to us. Christian and staff at Lo Lo Mai were very understanding and offered us a different spot to relocate too and a complimentary night for the hassle. They also offered some great tips on area attractions, things to do, etc. They knew the area and were very helpful and considerate. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area. All staff were very friendly and helpful.
My post is related to the customer service only since we never actually were able to stay there, and we choose to never stay there in the future. I experienced a series of unfortunate accidents and situations in 2023 that required me to have three (3) surgeries with subsequent rehabilitation. My initial surgery caused my wife and I to have to reschedule our stay, which had been paid for. The rescheduling was limited to a very short window of dates in the off season. We again had to reschedule after another surgery and rehab, which was met with uncertainty if we would be able to reschedule again, “because you’ve already requested this to be rescheduled once before.” I don’t understand the reluctance a business would have in rescheduling an already paid for stay, or making an issue about the number of times needing to be rescheduled. I’m the customer, and I had a need on a few occasions and I don’t, and didn’t appreciate the arrogance. My wife and I ultimately were informed that management had accepted our request to reschedule but that this would be the last time they would permit it. Ultimately, the date came for our weekend stay and due to the poor policies, arrogance and attitude I experienced, my wife and I decided to “eat” the money we had already paid and chose not to stay. We enjoy camping in our great state with our friends, family and RV group, but we will caution anyone who asks about Lo-Lo-Mai.
