Had a great time the lake was full all the camping spots were full but luckily we went early so we were able to get a good spot 👍
Well they opened the dam so when we got there there was no beach for us to drive down and find a spot but we got lucky and drove off on a trail and we did find a spot would love to go back it was beautiful and I like how they allow u to camp and have a fire for free we did 2 nights we did get rained on too but had a great time.
Wow has the water level risen since last spring! This trip we arrived a little later than I typically go, especially on a Saturday and it was PACKED ! Very much recommend if you’d like a nice shoreline spot for day camping, arrive before 9a. Tonto pass is required, even if you’re not staying over night.
This lake is awesome. It’s a very short drive from the town of CaveCreek. Many people like to take their bikes down or up the windy road. It’s a fun road. The fishing is usually always decent . If you like to Bass fish or Crappie fish this place has the great spots. For Crappie I highly recommend fishing over by the yellow cliffs. Put your bait, jog, or whatever your using about half way to the bottom and you should do great. I always limit out when I Crappie fish. There are some decent size fish I actually caught a huge 2pounder!!! That’s pretty big for Crappie. So I highly recommend Bartlett wether your going to just have a bar b cue by the water , or if your doing some fishing, camping also is a great thing to enjoy here. You actually can wake up to Bald Eagles, Deer, Bobcats, Mtn.Lions, Ring Tail Cats, Javelina, and much much more. Great spot and usually isn’t super crowded like Lake Pleasant
This is now my favorite lake! There's so much trash all over. My boyfriend and I spent over an hour walking around picking up trash. I don't understand how people can be so disgustingly rude and lazy. Just make sure to watch all the debri out there especially if your jet skiing or boating.
