Located 4.5 miles east of Tok at mile 1309 of the Alaska Highway.
This is a great stop that is right on the road so an overnight stop for the traveller staying one night it is ideal. There are multiple pull thru sites that do not require you to unhook to fit. There is a pump here to get water, but we were unsuccessful at getting water out of it.
The sites are close together and the pull through sites do not have anything in-between them. It was clean but the road noise might bother some. Not typical of Northern parks in AK. Most parks have some privacy between sites. Busy midweek.
Love this campground right on the Tok. It is mostly empty with tent sites right on the Tok River and a lot of pull-in sites for campers. Each site has a picnic table and a place for a fire. There are clean outhouses. The site is $18 a night. They do accept checks if the check is from the United States. Ot is a few miles outside the small town of Tok, which has a few small restaurants, several gas stations, and a grocery store (as well as other in-town camping options if you need a shower).
Site map at park entrance is out of date. We stayed 1 night at site 23 which is the first pull thru site as you come around the one way loop to the five pull thru sites. It is near the ALCAN so u do hear truck noise. Rest of park was full. Lucky we needed a long site and this was the last one available!
