The perfect campground in Fairbanks with large and easy access pull-through full-hookup sites to set up your base to explore the Interior of Alaska. Only 2 hours from Denali Natl. Park and the base for a trip to the Arctic Circle. Lots to explore in the area, such as taking a narrated Riverboat cruise on the Chena River, finding out more about gold mining at Gold Dredge8, visiting the Alaska Pipeline viewpoint, soaking in warm Chena Hot Springs, visiting Pioneer Park with a mouth-watering Salmon Bake dinner and show, learning more at the Museum of the North in Fairbanks, or visiting Santa Claus House in the North Pole. Until May 21st and after August 21st, there may be a chance to see the Northern Lights. Need some rest? Plan for a lazy day at the campground - sit and relax at the patio by the river, play some outdoor games, or enjoy one of our propane fire pits while watching beautiful sunsets - but be advised - you may need to stay up late for that. Welcome to the Interior of Alaska!
On Alaska Route 2 take Badger Road exit, then continue on Badger Road for 2 1/2 miles. Turn left and pull in front of the campground office right after Riverview Quick Stop gas station/convenience store, just before Old Badger Road turn off.
Stayed as part of a caravan trip. Property is very nice sites aren’t too tight. Mostly level. 30 amp. Checked out bathrooms and showers very clean, didn’t use. Lots to do in Fairbanks area. Gold dredge 8 and riverboat ride were nice.
Nice campground, very clean. Sites are level, some shaded. Good amenities, fenced dog area, laundry, RV wash. The office staff was terrific. Our site had a huge dip where we stepped out the camper door, it never got taken care of in the 4-5 days we were there. A little disappointed in that.
This rv park was awesome. Great location, great views. All the services provided were really good. The restrooms and showers were clean. They have a reading from, recreation area and a barbecue place. Wifi service was good. Definitely recommend.
This is an RV / camper KOA camp ground. We found the quality and cleanliness to be excellent and exceeded our expectations. This campground is adjacent to Fort Wainwright so there are some interesting aircraft flying in the area. We found the showers and bathrooms to be very clean. The hot water is hot! Very nice. The staff is also polite and respond. Overall, we had an excellent 3 day camping experience.
