Directions

Located between Ninilchik and Homer along the Sterling Highway at Milepost 157. Take the turn onto the Old Sterling Highway and follow the road across the river bridge. Turn right on Anchor River Road and follow the pavement to the entrance.

Beautiful beach and river, shallow draft boat launch at mid-high tide. Terns, Eagles, Bears occasionally, Moose and of course Seagulls upon Seagulls, hahaha!

Stunning views! A black sand volcanic beach, and ample parking! Loved my very short visit here. If I'm ever up in the Kenai Peninsula, I'll be back to this beach!
