Great stay. The tent sites were spacious and well maintained, located in an open field with partial tree coverage. The staff was super accommodating and responsive to anything we needed.
I'm no Sue, but I am a Dr. And as an official holder of a Ph.D., I give this campground yes campground, the green light to clear your head and enjoy the moment. This was mine and my wife's first time here, and literally, as soon as our tent was up, we shut down. The owners are pretty laid back and seem like they know what direction they want to point this campground in. We do plan on coming back with friends and family and our dog and her best friend too. Checking in was a breeze, Aron asked and then delivered firewood to our site, and it was billed with the card used to register, which is super convenient and can't wait to come back. Plus, there's a drive in about 4 miles up the road, which is how I found this awesome place. Will try a mountain view site next time!! Also, the clubhouse has washers and dryers, a pool table, a few old-school arcade games, and bathrooms with showers, which is very convenient. And yeah, it's close to the interstate, but the site we stayed at was right next to it, and really, as long as you're not looking for the noise of it, you can't really notice. So just try it out and maybe find your favorite place like we did...
The campground was very convenient, right off the highway. The location was great for our stay. We went to a concert at Lincoln Financial, but didn't want to get a hotel in the city. Camping here was perfect to get to and from the concert without any trouble. We didn't really use much at the campground other than our site, but our son played basketball on their court whenever he could. Its also really close to Jim Thorpe, too. The people working on site are amazingly kind and go out of their way to make sure you're happy. Its obvious that they are continually making improvements to the property. I'd stay there again.
Location was prime. Camp hosts were friendly. Campsites could use some TLC, but not bad. The bathroom & showers were bad. Like worse than showering in Afghanistan bad. Little to no water pressure. Little to no hot water. Multiple showers out of service. Very few amenities. We were told the owner was improving the campground. Lot of potential. Just wasn't there on my experience.
Have visited Pocono Point 2x this year, once in May & once in November. The first visit we(my husband&I) tent camped in the lower grounds near the river. & looved the peace of being by the river,& received wonderful service from the owners. The second time we camp tented(my husband,my sister&brother in law&myself) up on the mountain top. It was nice. We were the only ones up there. We spent the day at Jim Thorpe. Didn't see the owners this time, but my only issue of our recent visit was that there was only one working ladies' room. The only thing most people may not enjoy is being so close to the turnpike, but it did not bother us one bit.
