Campsite: North Gorge Campground - Lake Roosevelt National Rec Area

Great scenic, small campground that sees lots of traffic even in the shoulder season. Visited and stayed the night Saturday 3/19 to Sunday 3/20/22. Didn't see many people Saturday and no one else stayed the night but saw a lot of people visit on Sunday. The boat launch area is dry this time of year. We stayed in the small turn around area and car camped. I believe camping fees are not required in the shoulder season. Did a couple of Solo hikes on the bank of the Columbia River and wildlife tracks are abundant, although I saw no wildlife.

Campsite: Chimney Hollow Dispersed Campground

I was in this area 1/6/2020. The Primitive Campground was closed before the sunrise and open in the daylight hours (I think they were doing maintenance.). I have stayed in this campground before and it is a great Campground with lots of spots and great camp hosts. There is also great camping in the national Forrest on the road beyond skull hollow. There are pulloffs for camp spots. Great hiking in the area as well.

Campsite: Green Canyon Dispersed Campground

Beautiful closed campground for now. I visited 5/13/19 after hiking the extremely difficult green canyon way trail to Devils Peak Lookout. Nice day use area. Looked like a fairly big primitive campground. Has vaulted toilets, checked one of the bathrooms and it was open. Did not stay the night as the campground is still closed. Beautiful spots right next to the Salmon River. Lots of hiking options. There have been some recent break ins (in cars) at the nearby parking at Salmon River West Trailhead.

Campsite: Walupt Lake Campground

Came here 9/24/18 to hike cispus pass loop trail. The campground is nice and looks spacious. I did not check it all out, but there was tent camp spots right on the lake across from the hiking parking area. 2 vaulted bathrooms. A day use parking area for a $5 fee. A horse camp before you get to walupt lake campground. There was an empty camp host spot and a spot where firewood is sold.

Forrest road 21 from packwood, WA is 21 miles and took me over an hour to get to the lake. Its rough washboard and potholes. Walupt like road is fairly nice and paved minus some big pot hole areas and a section where the road is damaged. There is a boat ramp here. Wouldn't mind coming back here for a camp trip. There is no cell service out here anywhere.

Campsite: Wakepish Sno-Park

Gifford pinchot snow park off windy ridge, bathrooms, day use only shelter at the snow park with a wood burning stove. Has bathrooms. A good place to drop any low riding trailers before you hit the windy ridge road... it's not the best of roads.
