From Kettle Falls: Take US-395/Highway 20 west out of town. Turn right onto WA-25. Follow for approximatly 16.5 miles. Turn left at the sign for North Gorge Campground.
Nice campground. Limited turn around for camper. A 6.5 meter camper had to back in about 50 meters to get in spot. Nice boat launch for small boat. Gorgeous sunsets. No potable water. Bathroom was clean. Then there's the 0700 and 2045 freight trains that sound like it's coming through camp. Beautiful views of the mighty Columbia gets this campground a generous 3 stars.
Great scenic, small campground that sees lots of traffic even in the shoulder season. Visited and stayed the night Saturday 3/19 to Sunday 3/20/22. Didn't see many people Saturday and no one else stayed the night but saw a lot of people visit on Sunday. The boat launch area is dry this time of year. We stayed in the small turn around area and car camped. I believe camping fees are not required in the shoulder season. Did a couple of Solo hikes on the bank of the Columbia River and wildlife tracks are abundant, although I saw no wildlife.
Perfect little escape. Not much of a beach but swimming among the flowers was pretty cool. If you are a birder, this was a lovely cross section of habitats, plenty of species to enjoy for July. Not very buggy for having a wetland corner on the downstream side.
