I was in this area 1/6/2020. The Primitive Campground was closed before the sunrise and open in the daylight hours (I think they were doing maintenance.). I have stayed in this campground before and it is a great Campground with lots of spots and great camp hosts. There is also great camping in the national Forrest on the road beyond skull hollow. There are pulloffs for camp spots. Great hiking in the area as well.
