Directions
From Sheridan,WY, take WY Highway 332 for 4 miles to WY Highway 335. Drive south about 8 miles, road becomes Forest System Road (FSR) 26, travel another 11 miles to FSR 293. Follow this four-wheel drive road to its end.

Trailhead and campground is very nice with plenty of parking space. The road back here is not maintained and not suitable for low clearance vehicles. I made it back in a Subaru outback with AT tires, but there were a few spots where it was necessary to choose my line carefully to avoid high centering on rocks. It will take you a bit of time to drive back here past cross creek, but it is definitely worth it.
