Fontenelle Creek Campground is approximately 10 miles south of LaBarge, Wyoming, and is situated on the west side of Fontenelle Reservoir.
Our stay was only one night but we liked how quiet the site was with no one around. The nearest campers were 1/4 mile or more away. The horses & cattle walked through our campsite. They are not wild horses! Very tame. I enjoyed having a flushing toilet & running water. The shelter over our picnic table was great, too. I didn’t love all the cow and horse poop everywhere with flies...but overall it was $7, and you can’t expect luxury for that price. We would stay again because the views were gorgeous seeing horses and antelope grazing by the water.
Beautiful campground on a lake reservoir. There are covered picnic tables, BBQs and fire ring at each site. Dispersed camping. Water and dump and trash on site. A half hour from Kemmerer, Wyoming
Great campground, we visited in early September 2023, the campground was empty! Running hot and cold water. Flush toilets. Beautiful view from our upper camp spot. Pelicans and many other birds to photograph. We loved it there! Fee $7.00
This campground looked very nice. We only stopped by here for a picnic. There was flushing toilet, there was running water, there was shade in every campground, they had a fire pit/grill for each spot. There was not many people around, it looked very nice and I can't wait to camp here soon.
For me, Fontenelle Creek Campground was perfect. There were only 2 other campers when I arrived and so far only one more joined us. There's flush toilets, water, picnic tables, fire rings, dump station...$7.00/night ($3.50 for seniors with America the Beautiful card). Huge reservoir filled with geese, birds & chipmunks everywhere and hardly anyone around!!! lots of space to walk my dog. I can drink my coffee outside in my jammies without a care! So far, I love it! To be fair, it is in a bit of disrepair and there's no camp host...more like boondocking with benefits. Works for me!
