Ran the deer fly today. Loved every second of it. I recommend this race to anyone out there who is semi new to running. It's a great way to push yourself. Winona is a holy grail of trail running! Enjoy running you guys.
I mountain biked here on a beautiful summer day. There was only one other couple at the lot. You can also xc ski here in the winter on groomed trails. It would be nice if trails were marked at intersections, but I do realize it costs time/money. Great intermediate trails. Beginners would be fine. There's nothing too challenging. No singletrack for mountain biking...that I have found.
My first time here without the snow. Enjoyed being able to see all of the rock walls that we normally would not as they are covered with snow. We did come across 2 hunters just standing along Winona Way looking out into the forest.
