Mary Island is located to the east of Wellesley Island, with only a narrow channel separating them. Access is by boat only, from either Grass Point State Park (4 miles over water), or Keewaydin State Park, which is 2 miles from the island. Patrons must have at least a 14' motorized boat to access Mary Island. Boaters are instructed to launch from Keewaydin State Park. Motor boats can be rented at Keewaydin State Park marina.
From a picnic to overnight camping, Mary's Island is an awesome location. Accessible only by boat, it is a semi isolated location that is very relaxing.
Quiet, relaxing and every site has privacy and shade. Boat in and sit by a fire watching the world pass by (and cargo ships depending which side of the island you stay on). It has turned into an annual place to visit.
