Short hike a little steep but easily doable. Nice lake, quiet with a couple places to camp, fish or just spend a little time in nature.
Steep hike in the beginning, but well worth it as the pond is absolutely gorgeous. Lots of tree roots and stone climbing neccessary, so not ideal for kids.
We did visited this pond as a short hike when we had some free time before dinner and we are happy we did. It's a short hike with a good up hill on the way in but the pond itself is beautiful and would be a fantastic wilderness campsite we enjoyed sitting on the shore and relaxing under the shadows of the peaks.
Just finished a beautiful weekend camping here with friends. If you’re coming from 86 the hike up to the pond is pretty steep (and feels intense if you’re carrying gear) but the pond itself is 100% worthwhile. We spent three nights camping at one of the tent sites and despite it being a weekend, we didn’t feel disturbed by the other hikers passing along the trail. The water was cool and clear, and the stars at night were not to be missed!
