Had an RV Rally here last weekend. Wonderful experience from the sites, to the office/clubhouse area, to the people. Clean, well kept with paved sites. Our dogs loved the grass on the site. Many things to do-pool, playground, horse shoes, corn hole, and free pickleball offered off-site a mile or two down the road. Thank you Willow Valley for making this rally a winner. We will be back.

We’ve gone to stay at Willow Valley RV a couple of times per year for several years.

The grounds and buildings are always well maintained and the staff is friendly and accommodating.

Our favorite time is October when MANY children are there to enjoy the campground provided festivities.

We always experience the most well-mannered children and their very polite parents.

We rarely leave a bad review but were so disappointed with the owner of this campground. We had read other reviews about him, but didn't believe it until we encountered first hand. We had booked a campsite, and our friends booked the one right across from us, all in advance. We arrived Thanksgiving day and noticed that someone was in our friends' spot, and they were to arrive the next day. We went to the office, and after much discussion between us, our friends, the staff, and finally the owner - it was realized that another employee had moved the current camper to our friend's spot, and our friends were moved to a different spot the next street OVER. (Our friends had an email confirmation that they had in fact reserved the spot directly across from us.) The "new" spot would require us to either walk through other peoples' sites or walk all the way around to get to each other, neither of which we wanted to do as they had reserved their camp site for a reason and didn't want it changed without their knowledge. Although an email was sent to our friends telling them they were being moved to a different spot, it was sent the day before arrival and on a holiday.

We understand mistakes happen and, although no one was ever able to tell us why or how it happened, we all still spent much of our holiday dealing with this. (Not the owner, he said he would deal with it on Friday). When our friends arrived Friday, they were given an option to use another site, but it was still a street over and really no closer at all. And while the staff eventually admitted it was their mistake, nothing was offered to make up for this. Not even an apology. However, our friends asked if they could be given a refund for one of their nights, and were told they could be. THEN, after getting all set up, the person next to us told us he was leaving a day early so we asked the staff if our friends could move to THAT spot. They said our friends could move to that spot but would have to be CHARGED back the night they were to receive as a credit. What? At that point we just wanted to get through the next two days and be done. The staff in the office were at least nice the entire time. The owner was as rude as the other reviewers describe the entire time. So disappointing and unprofessional to own a business and treat your customers in this way. We didn't want anyone to be moved, we just wanted the staff/owner to express regret that campers were moved from the spot they reserved for no reason, and for the time we wasted dealing with the phone calls and trips to the office on our holiday, as well as having to move when a site closer DID come open and being charged for it as if there had been no mix-ups. Other than that, the sites are close together and full sun, but you can clearly see that in the pics. The bathhouse restrooms are nice, very spacious and private (individual) which was nice. Very family and dog friendly (small dog park available). No fire pits (there is one in the common area and you can rent one or bring your own). All in all the campground was fine; just hoped we would have found the kind of owners we usually encounter at campgrounds in the south that work to accommodate their customer when they screw up.

We really enjoyed our stay! We did not use the facilities at all, but did get out for some walks. The park is well cared for and quiet. Campsites are clean and clearly marked. There are several that could be difficult for a big rig, so look at the satellite view map before you commit. The entire campground is nearly level flat, so that might be a plus getting around with a big rig. The reservation system was easy to use, site map accurate, and they were able to answer my questions by email within an hour. Plenty to see in the immediate area, as well as all the retail you might need just down the road in Clayton.

We are first time travel trailer owners and can honestly say we picked the best campground for or first trip. Willow Valley is a wonderful campground. It’s easy to access, the bathhouse and laundry room are so very clean. The campsites are spacious, plenty of room between you and your neighbors. The campsites are level, with full hookups. Ours had gravel but there are several with concrete pads. But the best part of our stay at Willow Valley was the wealth of knowledge that we gained from Mr. Walter. Mr. Walter was so incredibly helpful to us and for that we will be eternally grateful! Thank you Willow Valley for a great first camping experience! We will absolutely be returning!
