Come Stay & Play! We offer a variety of accommodations to serve either as the ultimate base camp for the awesome surrounding outdoor activities in the Green River Gamelands or as a comfortable getaway to escape the urban hustle and reconnect with nature. We offer comfortable glamping sites, tiny homes, cabins, primitive campsites and a single-family vacation rental. All sites have access to the broader amenities and features at Wilderness Cove Campground, including but not limited to water sport rentals, electric vehicle charging stations, Wi-Fi, private grills, on-site food truck (seasonal) and a fully stocked campstore. Please refer to campground site descriptions for further information regarding amenities.
If you are traveling in an RV, do not enter Green River Cove Road from the West, please enter through Mill Springs. We recommend entering 4391 Silver Creek Rd, Mill Springs, NC 28756, then enter 3772 Green River Cove Rd.
Susan and Doug go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. They both were so accommodating the camp was very clean and well maintained. I love this place and definitely recommend this place 10/10
I rented the RV 4 site to tent camp because I wanted to be on the water. There was a beautiful!! view of the river from the site, with the water running by as the perfect soundtrack. Although it was a little close to the 2 little river cottages, my 'neighbors' were friendly. It would be perfect for a group to rent both of the little cottages and the RV site (and I'm already scheming to do just that!) because there was enough flat space to put up two tents or back in an RV. The bath house was warm and clean (so key!!_ and the perfect touch after my hike (which I was able to access directly from the property). Nice helpful folks running the place too! I'll be back... thank you!
We have found our favorite get away spot! We stayed in the cabins and the smaller clamping tents, 2 weeks apart! Just got home and booked our Feb trip! The campground hosts are some of the kindest, friendliest people…they remembered us as soon as we checked in. The bathrooms are warm and clean! Highly recommend!
I absolutely love staying here! The standard cottage is perfect for a small family escaping into the outdoors. The hosts are very kind and available to assist and provide excellent customer service. Whether it’s in the Summer and you’re tubing for the day or in the Fall, checking out the peak colors and staying overnight with a fire, this is a great establishment worth visiting anytime of the year!
We have gone tubing at Wilderness Cove for the last 3 years. It's one of our annual summer goals. They are reliable and helpful. You can leave straight from the facility and take a 1 or 3 hour ride down the river with a bus pick up at the end. We've never had more than a 10 minute wait. The river is scenic and an easy ride with a few fun tube safe rapid spots and jumping off rocks and maybe even a rope swing. Do it! You won't regret it!
