This is a very nice campground. The staff is awesome, the kids loved the playground, and the grounds are very well kept. You can tell the owners here really take pride in keeping this camp nice. They have a pool, which I didn't use. It was a little too cold for me outside. Others used it, and from what I could tell, it looked really nice. Every morning, I would see the grounds keepers maintaining the pool and the lawn/landscaping. Their fire rings are nice and have good air flow for a nice hot fire. They look like semi rims- not too big and perfect to fit my grill top on. I did my laundry while I was here, and it was quick and clean. They have a small camp store with some essentials in case you forget something at the grocery. The lots for RVs are nice. Gravel with a cement pad. That really helps to keep the inside of the rig tidy. The picnic table was new and clean. Loved that. The lots are on the medium/small side, I would say. That doesn't really bother me too much, but it could be an issue for some people. It was wide enough to safely have a fire and set up a nice outdoor space and still have some grassy area. Perfect for my family of 4 plus a small breed dog.
I had no issues while I was here. Getting into the space was a breeze as they helped back my husband in perfectly. I was given lots of information on things to do and what to see while in the area. The ladies at the desk are super nice and helpful. We loved it so much that we extended our 5 night stay to a 7 night stay. I would stay more if I didn't have to go back home. This is definitely on my list of nice campgrounds to come back to. Thank you for such a pleasant, convenient stay. 10/10 would recommend.
We love this campground and this was our second time there. Its closer to the Cherokee side entrance(Oconaluftee Visitor Center) and away from all the crown of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. The bathrooms are very clean and maintained regularly by the superb staff. Kids love the place as well as they get their activities there like corn hole, swings, pool etc. The office also has a convenience store where we got fresh eggs too! It’s our goto camp now when in that area!
It’s a wonderful campground and the owner has always been great to work with. We love coming here from out of state and highly recommend staying here!
I was impressed with the cleanliness of facilities and organization of the owner. Bath houses were spotless. when you arrive they get you backed in and make sure you’re set up. Some of the sites are tricky to get in and out of but she knows her campground well and makes sure you know the ways in and out and the rules and a campground map. There was no question at check in of all the important info you need to know. She took a chance on us being a large group of Coleman collectors she had never met and let us plan an event here. She worked with us very well and was even understanding when we had a few guys arriving a little later than expected due to traffic and schedules. We had an awesome event and I hope that they enjoyed our stay here. We would definitely plan an event here again in the future. There were lots of activities for the kids to do and play, we also were able to use the pavilion and that came in handy for our festivities. Lots of extra chairs we were able to use etc. 10/10 I would recommend for a large group setting or for just a family outing. I plan on coming back with just my family this summer and let the kids enjoy all the place has to offer and camp. Thank you Joni for a wonderful camping experience.
Pros: Nice quiet location with yard space (not just a gravel lot or on a main road like some of the other campgrounds in the area). The bath houses were clean, the staff was nice and help you back into your space. They have concrete pads, picnic tables, fire rings, and a little playground.
Cons: You're not able to pick your own spot and some of the permanent residents they have can be off-putting (but, they are located away from the main area with ammenties).
Overall, it was a good experience, and we'd stay here again.
