Whitefish campground is located just off the Elliot Highway along the shore of the Chatanika River. 8 campsites, a reservable picnic shelter, boat launch, and day use parking are accessible seasonally, along with restrooms, potable water, and refuse service. This campground is not maintained in the winter months. Overnight camping, boat launch, and daily parking fees are in effect seasonally.

Not family friendly. A female couple were having a loud profanity-laced argument.
This is a really nice campground. You do hear some road noise but it's not to bad. The river is really pretty!! There are only 8 campsites and it's first come, first serve. It's $15 for the site and $5 for parking and it's cash only. I like this campground better than Olnes Pond campground.
Weekend is really busy. So if you just want to fish and have peace and quiet go during the week. Other than that great place. Beautiful and clean.
