Sourdough Sue's yurts were perfect for our group. Comfortable, clean, quiet, lots of amenities (fire pit, grill, kitchen appliances/cookware), great location. Sue and Greg were very friendly and hospitable. I highly recommend staying here if you find yourself in the Seward area.

Not really knowing what to expect, I was very pleasantly surprised! These Yurts are fantastic and if you like the outdoors just a little you'll enjoy them. Very clean, well designed and laid out. The staff checking in were very pleasant. Thank you for a grand stay in your Yurt!

We have stayed in the yurt 5 times over a few years. We have stayed in several places around Alaska. This place is the best! The Yurts are more like an apartment than a tent. Warm and cozy with an oil stove for heat. Watching the rain on the skylight was awesome. The yurts are on their very manicured and clean property just out of Seward. Fire pit outside each yurt and firewood available for purchase at Safeway in Seward. Loved the flowers in the planters and the view of the mountain from the porch. Sue and Greg were gracious host. Helped us with the stove and available if anything needed. Knowledgeable about the area, places to eat and things to do. Sue has taken us on hikes more than once.

We were so pleased with these cute yurts. I would echo the other positive reviews. In addition, I liked tinkering with the oil room heater. Those were fun and worked well. Each yurt had a campfire ring which we also used and enjoyed. It was just a pleasant and comfortable experience. The comforters were really great. Highly recommend.

We loved staying in Sourdough Sue’s yurt! The place was clean and comfortable and had all the conveniences we needed. What a unique and fun place to stay in the Seward area. Sue was super friendly and helpful and the property was so peaceful. The oil burning stove was a little intimidating at first (we’re city folk), but once we got it going, the room was warm and cozy. If you’re considering staying here, do it!
