Lake Wenatchee State Park is a 489-acre camping park with 12,623-feet of waterfront on glacier-fed Lake Wenatchee and the Wenatchee River and is a great place for camping near Seattle. The park is bisected by the Wenatchee River, creating two distinct areas – south park, which features areas for camping, swimming and horseback riding, and north park, which is in a less developed, forested section of the park and a quarter-mile walk from the lake.
The park has 155 tent spaces, 42 water and electric sites, one dump station, seven restrooms, and 16 showers. In addition, the park provides two ADA campsites. Call 509-763-3101 for more information.
The south campground (sites 1 - 100) has parking pads 30 to 40-feet in length, with only two pull-through sites. Larger RVs and fifth-wheelers should use the north campground (sites 101 - 197) which includes 42 large pull-through utility sites. Maximum tents allowed are one family tent or up to two 2-3 man tents. Maximum vehicles allowed are two per site, additional vehicles may park in overflow areas.
From Hwy 2 turn North onto Hwy 207 at Coles Corner. Turn-off to South Entrance (sites 1-100) is 3.5 miles. Travel one more mile to reach the North Entrance (sites 101-197). Park entrance located on left side of highway.
Clean and beautiful, camp host this year has been great to interact with, and they keep up on the camp grounds. There are a ton of ground wasps, but they are not aggressive, just annoying, so if that's an issue for you, I'd suggest making other arrangements.
Great campsite, 30 minutes from Leavenworth, with beautiful views. My boyfriend and I spent one night here and we both loved it. We didn't have reservations but we found a site. Both water and power hook up for our RV and a dump station not too far away. The showers are great, no tokens needed and plenty of hot water. $40 for the night, well worth it, we will be back for sure.
Great lake views! Looked like a nice trail system and campground, but we were just passing through the area.
Very beautiful Place around Leavenworth area and very scenic. I visited here during 1 week of December this year and this was the view.
Definitely a summer place for kids and family as well. There’s plenty of parking and a store as well.
You will need discover pass or you will have to pay. There’s so many campgrounds as well, all were closed.
A must visit place if you are in Leavenworth area.
Any time of the year is amazing to visit Lake Wenatchee! Summer obviously for the beach, trails and camping. Winter is when you can come here to sledge, snowshoe, or just enjoy the serenity of no crowds. Didn’t camp here yet but definitely will. The parking space is limited and there is parking fee (parking machine). The camp store is open year round and has nice fire going on outside.
