Really wonderful place. Camp sites are spacious, and water is available in the nearby river. The sites are spread far about apart that your neighbors won't annoy or be annoyed. Some nearby day hikes are available, and they're great. Just be aware of the elevation gain, and take enough water. They were more difficult than I anticipated, but that'll of course depend on your fitness level. All in all, it's beautiful, and one of my favorite spots in Washington.
It truly was a beautiful and enchanting place, however upon arriving at the campsite we were absolutely stunned by the aggressive swarms of horseflies. These flies can really bite and when they do bite, it hurts! They would not leave my two dogs and us alone, so we took shelter in our truck. We saw other campers also struggling with the horrible pests. Campers were waving their arms in all sorts of directions trying to shoo them away. It was so bad we couldn't even get out of our truck and set up camp for the huge flies kept attacking our truck! So, we had no choice, but to leave. We were super bummed, because it really was a beautiful place and we were excited to explore hiking trails. I was also surprised that there was no mention of these vile creatures in any reviews. Perhaps, it may have been due to the warm, hot, and muggy weather that brought these awful guys out. If we had known, we would not have wasted our time coming here. I agreed with my husband when he questioned why God would even create critters like the horsefly who can ruin a vacation in seconds.
Great campground, for cars and small campers. RV's are not recommended - the road can get pretty rough. This is a more remote campground compared to other ONP areas. Most of the sites are pretty good, with a few on the river that are excellent. No potable water here, and let's just say these aren't the finest bathrooms in the ONP collection.
Graves Creek Trailhead nearby leads to the Enchanted Valley and eastern ONP trails.

This is an incredible experience. This forest is magical... I've never seen anything like it. The old growth and moss is absolutely spectacular, the pics don't convey the extreme beauty. You definitely have to see it for yourself. If nature is your church/religion... you will be at complete peace!
I enjoyed this camp area. About an hour of dirt road to get there. A couple of small to medium waterfalls on the way. 20 bucks a night to pitch a tent per night first come first serve. The creek was right there, I didn't see any fishing going on but the sound of the water and elk bugling made for a good night's sleep.
