Great place to camp. It was quiet, almost every campsite you can hear the bubbling creek and there’s fantastic trails both easy and strenuous surrounding the campground. The bugs were not bad at the campground, I was eaten alive by mosquitoes on one trail when I went in the early morning. The loop around Staircase Rapids is an awesome hike if you love looking at a beautiful river.

Really nice and enjoyable campground. Wasn't planning to stay there but glad I did. Nice trails around. People were quiet at night. Beautiful area. Recommended.

Toward the entrance of Olympic National Forest, this is a great launching point to a lot of other locations and hikes. The washrooms and water work great, the only thing that would make this experience better would be showers. Supplies are available about 30 minutes away

Remote enough to get away from it all but close enough to spend a short or longer visit. Basic facilities, nice sites and basic washrooms (no showers). Impressed by how the campers there respected each other, quiet and friendly without exception. Lovely places to hike and explore on foot. No cell or internet service….perfect!
