This recreation area is part of Philpott Lake
We took our dog for a hike on the trails at Jamison Mill Park while visiting the area. There are about 6 miles of multi-use trails throughout the park for hiking and mountain biking. We hiked several of the loops with nice views of the forest and Philpott Lake. Some of the trails were pretty overgrown and downed trees and would be very difficult if biking. Overall, a nice place for a hike. Do watch out for ticks and other insect pests, we pulled a lot of our dog.
Completely cut off from cell phone services. But it was very quiet. Great picnic area for like a gathering or maybe if you wanted to fish or hike a trail.
Gorgeous place to visit. Picnic tables and clean bathrooms. Nice trails to walk and great camping and fishing areas. Beautiful scenery also. Easy to find.
We went for movies on the go! Very nice event for children! Park is very small, not much of a water area for fishing . I didn't think it would be safe to swim at, but it was night, so I couldn't see well. I think it would be great for a birthday party bc you would feel comfortable with kids in a smaller area where you can keep track of them better.
Great place to picnic . Restrooms available. Well marked hiking trails within the park.
