We had the privilege of staying here for 2.5 months. Twice we had to change our plans and they were so incredibly accommodating and helpful. Such a blessing for our family. They are kid friendly, pet friendly, and keep the grounds very well kept. The bathrooms and shower house are incredibly clean always. They have a laundry facility as well. We loved being here! We felt just like family and my kids absolutely loved Junie and Richard. We were able to put up a little kiddie pool and even set up a slack line. Junie got games for our kids and we just felt so welcomed and cared for. The internet and cable were great too. It was so peaceful, quiet, everyone kept to themselves and we felt very safe and protected. It’s in a great location and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! I highly recommend staying here!

Owner is exceptionally nice! Beautiful, dog-friendly park. Very quiet and safe. Within a few miles of restaurants and groceries.

I stayed 13 weeks for a contract. If you are able to stay at this campsite. I highly recommend this place. The owner is a great host. Quite, they have a bath house, laundry, no one bothers you. All the people out there are friendly. Dave, the grounds keeper, is the best. He will help out any way he can. A couple of miles from the interstate. I wish I could have extended my contract. I would still be out there.

My wife and I stayed at Camptown from May to August in 2021 while my wife worked as a travel nurse in Richmond. I would recomened Camptown to anyone staying in the area. It is well maintained, conveniently located and has everything you need, including community. Previous reviewers have mentioned how much they appreciated the owner, staff and other guests staying at Camptown, and we felt the same during our time there. They are amazing people, and they made us feel at home. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely visit again.

I have no idea how I found this great place, but I did. I couldn’t have asked for a better campground and better people to be there with and to the hosts that run it. It couldn’t have been more peaceful and a more welcoming place to live. Miss Junie who runs owns it is about the sweetest woman you can ever meet and Mr. Dave who manages the campground was one of the most helpful individuals you can ask for. The people that live there full time treat you like an extension of their family. Just an amazing and peaceful place to live. If you are lucky enough to get a reservation there, consider yourself blessed.
